Knocklofty is about words, wit, wine and whatever might raise a literary laugh. It’s not modern — don’t expect to find the latest flash-in-the-pan sensation here — but it’s not conservative, either. There isn’t enough levity in this self-centred, serious age; indeed, it’s such an absurd era that satire looks saner than reality. It’s not political, but we can spot a boofhead in any context.
